Electrofilm Mfg Co. standard product Patch and Strip Heaters are the off-the-shelf solution to your heating requirements. Available in sizes from 1" x 6" to 2" x 72" and Watt densities from 1 to 10 watts per square inch.
Electrofilm has Kaptonä-Inconel chemically etched (Kapinexä) heaters and Silicone-Inconel chemically etched (Silinexä) heaters in stock, for immediate delivery.
Kapinexä and Silinexä Heaters are particularly advantageous because the flat conductor surface reduces the hazard of dielectric failure allowing the use of extremely thin insulation and reducing the thermal barrier between the energy source (conductor) and the part to be heated.
The thermal efficiency is significantly higher due to sharp reduction in the ratio of conductor area coverage to surface to be heated.
