Railroad Heaters

Electrofilm Mfg Co. designs and manufactures a full line of heaters for train components.  The heaters incorporate temperature control devices that allow the heater to prevent ice from forming with efficient power usage.  The heaters use the latest "State of the Art" materials.  Easy to install or replace, the Railroad Component Heaters are flame retardant, can be UL/CSA listed, and are reliable for long term usage.

Applications

Steps    Purpose: Prevent Ice on Steps

These heaters can be mounted directly to the underside of the step.  Protection from the elements are provided.  The step temperature is controlled for over-warming of the step while preventing ice formation.

Thresholds  Purpose: Prevent Ice between threshold seams

These heaters, attached to metal brackets (if desired) are designed to fit the door thresholds.  Temperature controls are provided to prevent ice formation between the door and the threshold.

Water Drain Valve Heaters  Purpose: Prevent Valve from freezing

The heater is a form-fitting, detachable assembly which provides heat to the water drain valve to prevent the valve from freezing.  Temperature controls are provided.

Toilet Heaters    Purpose: Prevent drain clogging due to freezing

These heaters are mounted directly around the toilet drain.  Temperature controls are provide to prevent freeze conditions.

Water Line Heaters    Purpose:  Prevent Water Line freezing

These heaters are pre-coiled, wrap-around assemblies.  Temperature controls are provided to prevent the water lines from freezing.  Several hundred sizes (lengths and diameters) are presently available.

Air Heaters    Purpose: To warm Cabin air

A wide variety of air-to-air duct heaters are available or custom heaters can be designed to fit cabin requirements.  The heaters are designed to provide warm air to the cabin.  Temperature controls are provided to control outlet temperatures.

Floor Heaters    Purpose: To prevent a cold floor

Floor heaters are designed to be installed between the carpet and the floor to prevent the floors from becoming cold.
